Local Language Requirement
This is the most important eligibility condition. Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the state they apply for :

Candidates who have studied the specified local language as a subject in Class X or Class XII are exempted from the Language Proficiency Test . Those who have not studied the language must qualify the Language Proficiency Test (LPT) before appearing for the Personal Interview.
